Are you in or out?
What else would it need?
Arcade is definitely a must.
I don’t see a skate park as necessary at that age.
I’m still trying to think of what else would be iconic from that time.
Pizza Hut (the way it used to be)
We need a Bill Knapps!
Except if everyone gets 65%, 75%, or 82% off their meals for their birthday, the restaurant won’t be able to stay in business.
I’ve thought of having both city and rural retirement places. This would not be bad for the city one. I missed the whole mall thing the first time around.
Okay, genuinely curious. How did you miss the mall thing? Did you live somewhere more rural so a mall wasn’t easily accessible?
I was rural, and didn’t have much spending money. School shopping and things like that were done at stores closer to home.
I spent most of my time outside of school either reading or running around in the woods.
My second oldest is re-watching the “All Bob’s Money” video right now. My older children have internalized it.
I had a mall job during college (mid-to-late 80s) so I spent a lot of time there during those years. Less so during high school although going to the mall was definitely a thing at that time as well (early-to-mid 80s).
I remember going to arts and crafts shows at the mall during that time. Those were a big deal that we looked forward to the few times they happened each year.
