Dating the Writing of the Book of Revelation

This is a very interesting discussion with five preterists about the timing of the writing of the book of Revelation.
The fact that the destruction of Jerusalem isn't mentioned in the New Testament was one of the most compelling ideas that made me investigate partial-preterism and preterism. This is in addition to the many timing statements made by Jesus that get explained away by people holding other views. The idea that Revelation is John's version of the Olivet Discourse is also compelling.
Preterism is the first thing I've found that actually makes sense of the entire Bible, including Revelation. I don't consider myself a preterist at this point, but it all makes so much more sense to me than the mental gymnastics required by most of the other end times views.
